Do you know of a business worthy of being recognized with the Simcoe County Historical Association Heritage Business Award? Here’s how to nominate them!
Step 1: Determine if they qualify for the award
Businesses considered for the award are those which fulfill the following criteria:
- Has been in operation for a minimum of 50 years
- Has continuously operated from a headquarters or main office within Simcoe County
- Special consideration will be given to businesses which have remained within the same family, or which have retained the name of the original business
- Special consideration will be given to businesses which represent previously unrecognized parts of the county
Step 2: Submit a nomination
Nominations are open annually from April 1 to May 31. To nominate a qualifying business, simply fill out the form below:

Winners are chosen by the Board of Directors of the SCHA based on a grading system. Winners will be announced through our social media channels once the chosen business has been notified. An award ceremony of the winning business’ choosing will be announced later in the year for interested parties to attend.
